So You're Graduating... What's next?

You've finally reached your senior year of college and you've never been happier to get out of place before in your life. You had those long sleepless weekends where you missed out on going out with friends and having adventures. You seemed to always have something to do and never had "me" time. Running around campus from class to meeting to one of your many organizations. On top of all of that you decided it would be a great idea to create your own business or develop a brand, or divulge into one of your passion which is job in itself. Then as you are on your grind you check your calendar and realize that your graduation is fast approaching and you still have not figured out exactly what your going to do afterwards. There's so many options but so little time....

This scenario is something that I have heard very often this year, Within four years you get into the routine of being a college student. You've perfected the art of doing homework, going out, hanging with friends and still getting you beauty rest at night all while get pretty good grades. But when does thinking about post grad fit into the equation???

Of course there are some students that come into college knowing exactly what they want to do and then there are those who figure it out as they go through school but it's the students that figure out that their major is not what they want to do and changing it is not an option and graduation is 6 weeks away.

I fall in the last category. I came in with a bunch hopes and dreams but life happened and things changed so now I'm trying to figure out what I want to do next.

The Journey

The first thing I'm going to tell you is, you don't have to have it all together when you graduate. There are so many students that graduate without having grad school admissions or job offers lined up. As scary as that sounds it's really okay to not know what you're going to do for the rest of your life.

I'm sure that within your college career you have learned and experienced things that have sparked an interest and have created a passion within. Something that you didn't really think about pursuing your dedicating your time to.

This is your CHANCE to spread your wings and try new things. To really learn about yourself and the things that you love to do and the things that you're good at.

Don't look at graduating as an end. It's a beginning to start living your real life with no constraints and no hesitations. To pursue anything and everything that you dreamed of. Of course it's always a good idea to find a way to support yourself financially but don't let money be the reason you don't accomplish your goals.

6 weeks till GRADUATION is nothing to intimidate you, it should inspire you to tackle the real world becasue you're ready!
