ENHANCE The Individual is a fashion blog dedicated to encouraging and inspiring others to reach rise to the next level in all aspects of their lives. We focus on fashion and lifestyle. Something that is near and dear to y heart is identifying as a female and woman. Over the course of 23 years I have had my trials and tribulations. I have had dark moments where I found it hard to look at myself and at other times admired what me as a woman is able to accomplish. I wanted to take the time to talk about what FEMME VIBES means to me and how I can encourage y'all to have those same vibes.
As we all know fashion and shopping can be ore than just a past time it can be a way to express yourself and showcase what things matter to you. I was recently shopping at H&M and came across a t-shirt that had FEMME VIBES written across it. It drew my eye and with the aesthetic of the shirt but the phrase struck something within me. For some reason when i tried it on I left very powerful. I felt at peace and empowered. I paired the shirt with a mesh red peplum shirt and the 2 went perfectly together.
You see the shirt got me thinking about my own femininity and how I encompass it in my own way. For me staying true to my femininity is about loving myself, being positive and having respect for all women. Loving yourself, it has been one of the hardest things that I have had to learn. From learning to love every one of my bodily features, to my quirky antics, to how the world sees. Me there have been days where I beat myself up and there was a period of my life where I tried to change who I was to please others and at 23 I;m just figuring out that who I am is perfect. I define myself. Staying positive, I tell people often that it's really hard for me to not find the silver lining, to not see the good. How lame is it to think that everything around you is bad. I asked my brother one day why he was always so happy when he woke up and he said " it's because I wake up with a purpose." He has no idea how that has effected how I go through my days. Staying positive is something I do to keep myself at peace, especially with all the turmoil that is happening in the world. The little things brighten my day and keep me looking forward. Having respect for all women, we all have our own journeys and stories. we might have different point of views and various mindsets but we all identify as women. Just that alone deserves respect. Everyday we are perceived in a certain why in society, we are expected to act a certain why and people have this strange thinking that they can control what we do or say. No matter your background, I can have a basic respect for you and what you bring to into the world.
As I have gotten older and interacted with a plethora of woman, I have learned from that whenever we are together we are powerful. I'm not saying that be be cheesy or corny. I truly believe that when women come together nothing is impossible. we have been conditioned to think that we are less than and that we are not as strong or capable than our male counterparts. but I know and I'm sure many have you have figured out that women are the back bone of most things and without us there would be a lot of things that would be going wrong. But I digress.
Right now I am spreading FEMME VIBES your way. I'm sending you peae, love and happiness in whatever you are doing in life. I believe in you that you will accomplish all of your dreams, hopes and goals. Stay positive, stay happy and I know everything will work out for the best. More of us need to be sending out FEMME VIBES to each other. It can literally be a text message saying you're thinking about hem. It can be going to lunch and just talking. You can say hi to someone while passing them in the store. What ever you decide to do make sure it's with good intent. We don't need anyone else trying to dull our shine, and awesomeness.
